JAKARTA - Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) still face structural challenges in managing healthy and sustainable finances. In fact, this sector is the backbone of the national economy.

Responding to this challenge, PT Asuransi Tugu Pratama Indonesia Tbk (Tugu Insurance) through the Bakti Tugu corporate social responsibility (CSR) program collaborated with the Pertamina BUMN House to hold financial literacy training for the binaan UMKM actors in Solo, Central Java.

Carrying the theme "It's Time for MSMEs to Rise: Smart Financial Training, Solo MSMEs Take Off", this activity is targeted to be attended by 100 MSMEs.

This program is designed not only as training, but also as an effort to increase the readiness of MSMEs in business planning and business risk mitigation.

Tugu Insurance Corporate Secretary, Dudi Subekti, said the company focuses on encouraging MSMEs to be more bankable and competitive through financial management education that is in line with business needs.

"MSMEs are one of the driving forces of the nation's economy. Through this program, we want to help them be more prepared to face business challenges while strengthening competitiveness in the era of sustainable economy," said Dudi in a written statement received by VOI, Friday, February 20.

In addition to training, Tugu Insurance also provides free insurance to participants as an initial form of protection against unexpected risks.

Throughout 2025, the company has held 12 financial literacy activities in nine cities with a total of nearly 4,000 participants, in line with the National Smart Finance Movement (Gencarkan) launched by the Financial Services Authority.
