SIDOARJO - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo reviewed the implementation of the Inpres Regional Road (IJD) program on the Banjarkemantren-Prasung section in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, Saturday, February 7, 2026.

IJD is a program regulated in Presidential Instruction Number 11 of 2025 concerning the Acceleration of Improvement of Regional Road Connectivity to Support Food and Energy Self-sufficiency.
This program was initiated by President Prabowo Subianto to help local governments overcome budget constraints in the improvement of strategic road infrastructure.
"The improvement of the road on the Banjarkemantren-Prasung section is a strengthening of connectivity in Sidoarjo Regency," said Dody.
He added that the road improvement project had been completed and was now being used by the community.
"The work is complete and we see that it has been used," he said.
Head of the East Java-Bali National Road Implementation Agency (BBPJN), Javid Hurriyanto, said that the 1.8-kilometer stretch of road was carried out by the East Java-Bali BBPJN with the service provider PT Profil Mas.
This project was carried out for 83 calendar days, from October 13 to December 31, 2025, and funded through the 2025 State Budget.
According to Javid, the project has a strategic value in supporting priority industrial areas, warehousing centers, and trading activities, including the fisheries and halal food industries.
In the same agenda, Minister Dody also reviewed the Kepanjen-Pagak section in Malang Regency along 3.1 kilometers which had been completed and used by the community.
The PU Ministry emphasized that the development of regional roads is the key to reducing logistics costs and increasing regional and national economic competitiveness.
