JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Internasional EP (PIEP), the International Regional subsidiary of Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) Subholding Upstream, carried out the first shipment or first lifting of crude oil of 1 million barrels to Indonesia from Port Arzew, Oran, Algeria.
This first shipment is the first production under the extension of the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) of Block 405A, which ensures the sustainability of Pertamina's operations in Algeria for the next 25 years.

Ahead of the lifting, the two companies signed a Lifting Service Contract on December 22, 2025 at Sonatrach's Head Office. The signing was carried out by the President Director of Pertamina Algeria EP (PAEP) Jon Erwin and Sonatrach's VP of Commercialization Mr. Mayouf Belgacem.
PIEP President Director Syamsu Yudha said this achievement was an important milestone in strengthening Pertamina's position as an international oil and gas player.
