ASDP Records Passenger and Vehicle Movement Starting to Increase in Ketapang-Gilimanuk Traffic

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Persero Branch Ketapang, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, recorded the movement of passengers and vehicles on the Ketapang (Banyuwangi) - Gilimanuk (Bali) track from H-10 (December 15) to H-4 (December 21) showing an increasing trend.

General Manager of ASDP Indonesia Ferry Ketapang Branch, Banyuwangi, Ardhy Ekapaty said the number of two-wheeled vehicles on Sunday, December 21, crossing from Gilimanuk Port to Ketapang Port reached 2,130 units or grew 24.1 percent compared to the same period last year of 1,716 units.

"Cumulatively, from H-10 to H-4 (21/12) Christmas holiday, the total two-wheeled vehicles crossing were recorded at 40,328 units, an increase of 3.6 percent compared to last year's realization of 38,919 units," he said in Banyuwangi, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 23.

Meanwhile, the flow from Ketapang Port to Gilimanuk Port, continued Ardhy, also increased, two-wheeled vehicles crossing on H-4 reached 2,107 units or an increase of 33.1 percent compared to last year.

He said the increase also occurred in truck vehicles which reached 2,184 units or grew 21.5 percent, and the total vehicles crossing from Java to Bali through Ketapang Port on H-4 were recorded at 7,093 units, an increase of 6.8 percent compared to the same period last year.

"Cumulatively, from H-10 to H-4 Christmas holidays, the total vehicles from Ketapang Port to Gilimanuk reached 40,987 units, up 0.4 percent, with the number of passengers recorded at 143,533 people," said Ardhy.

He emphasized that his party was committed to continuing to provide safe, reliable, and humane crossing services.

"In the midst of weather dynamics and the surge in mobility of Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026, and safety remains the main foundation for people's journeys to run smoothly and safely to their destinations," he said.
