JCI All Time High, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Says Indonesia's Macro Indicators Remain Strong

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto conveyed to President Prabowo Subianto that the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) managed to set an all-time high (ATH) record at around 8,600.

According to Airlangga, the achievement of the JCI is a strong reflection of the fundamentals and the resilience of Indonesia's macroeconomic indicators until the end of the year.

"The situation of macro indicators at the end of this year is still good, including with the IHSG all-time high from January up 20 percent, this is one of the highest in Asia," he said in the plenary Cabinet Meeting, Monday, December 15.

He explained that the strengthening of the stock market was not only supported by positive domestic sentiment, but also by investor confidence in the stability of the national economy and the consistency of the government's policy direction.

Airlangga also explained a number of external indicators that support this condition, namely in October 2025, Indonesia's trade balance recorded a surplus of 2.39 billion US dollars.

Meanwhile, the current account surplus reached US$4 billion in the third quarter of 2025, and the foreign exchange reserves position as of the end of November 2025 was recorded at US$150.1 billion.

However, he admitted that the financial sector still recorded a current account deficit of US$8.1 billion. However, this condition is considered not to interfere with the positive perception of the fundamentals of the national economy.

In terms of liquidity, Airlangga emphasized that the economic condition remained solid, reflected by the stable foreign exchange reserves in the range of 150 billion US dollars.

In addition, he said that credit growth also continued to show a positive trend with an increase of 7.36 percent, in line with the continued domestic economic activity.
