JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) said that the Over Budget Balance (SAL) funds are government-owned funds placed in government banks including BSI.

Previously, the South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly, firmly denied the disbursement of funds at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) as claimed by the action participants who gathered in the Alam Sutra Tower area, Gatot Subroto, on Monday, December 8, 2025.

Nicolas emphasized that the information regarding the disbursement of the funds was a hoax.

"It's useless for you to come here. I emphasize, there is no disbursement of funds. It's a hoax, it's a lie. Those who say there was disbursement of funds today, it's a lie," said Nicolas.

He conveyed that the police together with BSI management had previously communicated with mass representatives. As a result, there is no agenda for disbursement of any funds related to the information circulating.

"There is no longer communication between the demonstrators and BSI because it has been done, and indeed there is no disbursement of funds," he continued.

Previously, Alam Sutra Tower, which was located on Jalan Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta, was suddenly excited after being attacked by a mob who claimed to be from various regions. Information obtained at the location, the masses demanded that Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) immediately disburse the promised funds, which the authorities later confirmed as false inflation (hoaks).
