There Are 23 Mining Permits In Aceh, West Sumatra And North Sumatra

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Dwi Anggia revealed that there were 23 mining permits located in three areas affected by floods and landslides, namely Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

Not only mining permits, but in the three regions there are also Work Contracts (KK) issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

"There are a total of 23 (mining permits), there is an IUP (mining business license), there is a work contract," said Anggia, Friday, December 5.

He detailed that of the 23 mining permits, there were four Work Contract holders (KK) and 19 metal commodity IUPs. Meanwhile, mining commodities in the area include gold, iron ore, lead, and zinc.

Anggia ensured that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources would check and evaluate and impose sanctions if they were proven to have violated.

"The Minister (Bahlil Lahadalia) will firmly evaluate, will impose sanctions on those who damage the environment," continued Anggi.

From data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, there are four Contract Owners of Work (KK) and 19 IUPs of metal commodities in the provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

In Aceh Province, there is one family with a gold commodity whose license was issued in 2018.

In addition, there are three gold commodity IUPs that will take effect in 2010 and 2017, three iron commodity IUPs that will take effect from 2021 to 2024, as well as three DMP iron ore commodity IUPs issued in the 2011 to 2020.

The province also has two IUPs of iron ore commodities which will take effect from 2012 to 2018.

Then there is a Work Contract (KK) which intersects between Aceh and North Sumatra Provinces, with lead and zinc commodities that have been in effect since 2018.

In North Sumatra Province, there were also two KK gold DMP commodities issued in 2017 and 2018, as well as one DMP copper commodity IUP which came into effect in 2017.

In West Sumatra Province, there were four iron commodity IUPs whose permits came out in 2019 and 2020, one iron ore IUP that has been in effect since 2013, one Black Tin IUP that has existed since 2020, and one gold IUP which came into effect in 2019.
