PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) has alerted 338 support ships, consisting of tugboats and various other types of support ships to secure energy during Christmas and New Year.

The President Director of PTK, I Ketut Laba explained, this fleet was prepared to ensure the smooth running of the sanding process (berthing), loading and unloading, as well as the mobility of energy carriers in Indonesia's strategic ports.

"This readiness is a form of PTK's commitment as a national maritime logistics company that plays an important role in maintaining the stability of the energy supply chain," said Ketut, Tuesday, December 2.

As a supporting vessel provider in Operation Nataru 2026, he added, PTK ensures that every supporting unit is ready to provide assistance to the movement of large ships, especially tankers that distribute fuel, LPG, crude oil, and other energy products.

In addition, PTK optimizes port agency services, including processing documents, coordination of clothing, to handling ships end-to-end to ensure maritime logistics rhythms remain efficient and according to operational standards.

"The company is also preparing floating storage as a national energy stock buffer infrastructure to maintain supply flexibility during the high needs," he continued.

In supporting the reliability of energy distribution, PTK strengthens fleet supervision through digital-based internal control and monitoring centers that are integrated with the central monitoring post of the Nataru Task Force.

Through this system integration, PTK can monitor ship movements in real time to ensure smooth distribution, increase operational risk mitigation, and provide a quick response to potential weather changes and field dynamics. This digitization further increases the efficiency of the fuel and LPG distribution process through data accuracy, analysis speed, and better coordination between functions.

"The readiness of 338 supporting ships is proof of PTK's commitment to maintaining the smooth operation of energy distribution, especially during high-intensity periods such as Nataru," he said.

Meanwhile, PTK's Vice President Legal & Relations, Amran Reza, added that the role of PTK in Operation Nataru is not only focused on operational technical aspects, but also on strengthening governance and strategic relations with stakeholders.

"We ensure that every PTK service starts from port, supporting vessel, to an integrated monitoring system running with the principle of accountability and service certainty. By increasing governance and operational effectiveness, PTK is able to provide added value for the energy industry and strengthen our position as a reliable maritime solution provider," explained Amran.

Facing the potential for extreme weather and the increasing intensity of ship movements towards the end of the year, PTK mobilizes all operational teams and internal task forces to ensure thorough readiness. The process of checking fleet units, HR readiness, and technical coordination in the field is a top priority so that every marine logistics activity runs optimally.

This effort not only ensures the reliability of energy distribution during Nataru, but also strengthens PTK's capabilities in providing adaptive and high-performance maritime services.

With the synergy of supporting fleets, port services, floating storage infrastructure, digitizing monitoring, and personnel readiness, PTK is increasingly affirming its position as a company capable of providing high standards, professional maritime services, and providing added value for the national energy industry.

"This commitment is a significant contribution of PTK in supporting Indonesia's energy security while strengthening the competitiveness of marine logistics services at the national level," he said.
