KAI Commuter Denies Substitution Of President Director Impact Of Tumbler Case

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia or KAI Commuter denied that the recent change in position of President Director had something to do with the passenger cone case which was busy on social media.

KAI Commuter PV Corporate Secretary Karina Amanda emphasized that the change in the leadership structure was part of the routine rotation carried out according to the corporate mechanism.

"Yes, yesterday there was a change in the President Director, Director of Operations and Marketing as well as Director of Finance and Administration of PT KCI, which is a routine rotation only and is not related to the problem of the loss of passenger goods," Karina told VOI, Friday, November 28.

In the new composition of directors, said Karina, the position of President Director is now held by Mochamad Purnomosidi. Then, the position of Director of Operations and Marketing is occupied by Heri Siswanto, while Nugroho Dwi Sasongko officially fills the position of Director of Finance and Administration.

Previously, the position of President Director of KAI Commuter was occupied by Asdo Artriviyanto since May 30, 2023. Asdo is not new to the railway industry, he has had a career of more than 30 years in the PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) environment.

The man who was born in Yogyakarta on December 11, 1971, has been pursuing a career since 1994 and has occupied a number of strategic positions, including the Executive Vice President in various operating areas, PT KAI Corporate Secretary, to the President Director of PT Reska Multi Usaha.

Previously reported, PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia or KAI Commuter made a change of leadership at the position of president director. Muhammad Purnomosidi was officially appointed to occupy the position at the helm to replace Asdo Artriviyanto.

The previous Purnomosidi was the Executive Vice President of the Jabodebek LRT. He is also noted to have had a career at PT Industri Kereta Api (Persero) or INKA.

Purnomosidi confirmed that he had been appointed to serve as President Director of KAI Commuter. He admitted that he started to work effectively on Thursday, November 27.

"Yesterday (it was appointed and started to work effectively)," said Purnomo when contacted by VOI, Friday, November 28.
