Jalan Pamegatan Seringajaya In Garut Regency Proposed To Enter IJD, Handling Is Carried Out By The Central Government

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has sent a team from the DKI Jakarta National Road Center (BBJN) West Java to prepare recommendations for handling road damage in the Pamegatan Section "Singajaya Garut Regency, West Java.

Of the total length of 23 kilometers, about 48 percent of them require improvement and rehabilitation.

The damage to the section that passed the two sub-districts is known to have occurred five years ago.

The condition of the damage gets worse when hit by rain and forms a puddle of water at several points, making it difficult to mobilize motorists.

However, the road segment is the authority of the district government, so that its maintenance is with the Garut Regency Government (Pemkab).

PU Minister Dody Hanggodo emphasized that the central government will continue to provide technical support for regional infrastructure.

"Although this road is under the authority of the district, we cannot allow the public to continue to be disturbed. Therefore, we sent a team to confirm the damage data and prepare recommendations for handling it," said Dody in a written statement, Thursday, November 20.

The West Java BBJN DKI Jakarta Team has also moved quickly to conduct a condition survey by documenting damage and collecting data on handling needs.

Sebagai langkah lanjutan, Kementerian PU mengarahkan Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Tata Ruang (PUTR) Kabupaten Garut agar ruas Jalan Pamegatan–Singajaya diusulkan masuk dalam Inpres Jalan Daerah (IJD) tahun 2025 atau 2026.

Dengan demikian, dapat dilakukan penanganan oleh pemerintah pusat.

Sementara itu, Bupati Garut Abdusy Syakur menyampaikan, Pemkab setempat tengah menyiapkan langkah pendukung agar penanganan dari pemerintah pusat dapat dilakukan secara optimal.

"Pemerintah kabupaten akan mengusulkan penanganan jalan dengan meminta bantuan dari pemerintah pusat," katanya.

As a further step, the Ministry of Public Works directs the Garut Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUTR) Office to propose to be included in the 2025 or 2026 Regional Road Instruction (IJD).

Thus, the central government can handle it.

Meanwhile, Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur said that the local district government was preparing supporting steps so that the handling of the central government could be carried out optimally.

"The district government will propose handling roads by asking for assistance from the central government," he said.
