Hotel InJourney Hospitality Occupancy Targeted To Reach 78 Percent During The Nataru Holiday

JAKARTA - InJourney Hospitality targets the occupancy rate of state-owned hotels which are managed to penetrate 78 percent during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) holidays.

This target is projected in line with the increase in tourist mobility in various main destinations.

InJourney Hospitality President Director Christine Hutabarat said that her party estimates that the spike in visits will occur from 18 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.

Furthermore, Christine projects that occupancy in the three-star HIN hotel will reach 72 percent, while four-star and five-star hotels such as The Meru and Bali Beach can penetrate 78 percent.

"For the 5 stars, because we do have Meru and Bali Beach, this is our second year open, it has reached 78 percent. Now the 4 star is around 78 percent. Then the 3 star is around 72 percent," he said at a press conference on the readiness and strategic steps of the InJourney Group in welcoming the Nataru period, at the Sarinah Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 18.

Christine said InJourney Hospitality has prepared 36 hotels throughout Indonesia to welcome a surge in visitors during the Nataru holiday period. Where the target of occupancy for the entire hotel can increase by 3 percent.

"So we expect compared to last year and the previous year, the increase (ocupancing) is approximately 3 percent more," said Christine.

Furthermore, Christine said the distribution group for guest movements was still consistent with trends in previous years. The Bali cluster, continued Christine, is still the area with the highest occupancy number one.

"And still in the Bali cluster number one. Then number two, the Java cluster. We also have approximately 17 all over Java hotels. Then the Sumatran cluster, then Kalimantan, and only Sulawesi," he said.

Various Interesting Events

To attract tourists at the turn of the year, InJourney Hospitality has prepared various entertainment programs in its managed hotels.

One of them was the Seaside Festive Symphony concert at The Meru Bali which presented Indra Lesmana, Erwin Gutawa, Eva Celia, Teza Sumendra, and Gabriel Harvianto.

He said InJourney Hospitality also collaborated with all InJourney Group members in presenting bundling packages for state-owned hotels. Covering pick-ups upon arrival at the airport, the discounted shopping program in Sarinah.

"There is integration from all members of InJourney, how can we make cross-selling programs, collaboration with airports for the use of lounges at airports," said Christine.

Christine said that her party was also focused on increasing operational readiness, including from the HR aspect in welcoming the surge in visits during the Nataru period.

“Ini untuk memastikan kelancaran pada jam check-in dan check-out. Lalu task force kita siapkan juga untuk monitoring 24x7 di seluruh hotel-hotel kita. Tentunya akan ada penambahan seasonal staf karena okupansi juga kita kejar di angka 78 persen,” ucapnya.

Furthermore, Christine said that the staff received special training in anticipating the potential spike in visitors during the Nataru holiday.

"This is to ensure smoothness during check-in and check-out hours. Then we also prepare the task force for monitoring 24x7 in all of our hotels. Of course there will be additional personnel because we also pursue occupancy at 78 percent," he said.
