JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) operates Terminal 1C Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) in full.

The operation has an impact on the total airport capacity to become 96 million passengers per year.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) Mohammad R. Pahlevi said 1C Soetta Airport will operate in full or full operation starting November 12, 2025 after the completion of all revitalization stages.

Pahlevi said that in line with the completion of all stages of revitalization, Terminal 1C capacity increased from 3 million to 10 million passengers per year, resulting in an increase in the total capacity of Soekarno-Hatta Airport to reach 96 million passengers per year.

Furthermore, Pahlevi said Soetta Airport serves passengers through Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. According to him, this capacity increase has helped strengthen the competitiveness of the airport in the world.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport capacity is now approaching 100 million passengers per year, and this confirms that Soekarno-Hatta Airport ensures readiness to anticipate flight traffic growth and strengthens its position as one of the world's largest airports," he said in an official statement, Sunday, November 9.

Pahlevi said this step is also one of the strategic and important achievements in the transformation of the airport which is being carried out by InJourney Airports.

Pahlevi said, the full operation of Terminal 1C also supports the rebalancing program by reallocating airlines from one terminal to another, so that flight traffic can be distributed evenly so that facilities at each terminal can be optimal in providing comfort.

Typical elements such as city red brick, hanging lights, and Terminal 1 iconic ornaments are maintained, combined with the latest spatial planning and technology," said Pahlevi.

Sekadar informasi, Terminal 1C mengadopsi konsep pemeriksaan keamanan desentralisasi, dalam artian titik security check point (SCP) untuk pemeriksaan penumpang dan barang bawaan ke kabin dilakukan di masing-masing gate keberangkatan. Terminal 1C juga dilengkapi dengan 40 check-in counter serta 7 unit baggage conveyor.

Revitalisasi Terminal 1C merupakan bagian dari Program Transformasi pada pilar Premises untuk menghadirkan infrastruktur bandara yang berkelas dunia.

Transformasi dijalankan InJourney Airports untuk membawa Bandara Soekarno-Hatta berada di dalam daftar 10 bandara terbaik dunia pada 2029 dari saat ini di peringkat 25.
