JAKARTA - Restu Andini, Chairwoman of Young Innovation, won the Muda30 2025 award which was held by the Young Townhall Pijar Foundation in Jakarta. This award is given to 30 inspiring young people from various regions in Indonesia who are considered to have a real contribution to social, environmental and economic sustainability.

Departing from a simple background in Klaten Regency, Restu grew with deep awareness of the importance of education as the key to change. In the midst of limited access to information and opportunities in rural areas, he sees that many young people have great potential but have not yet found space to develop.

This experience fostered a strong determination in him to ensure that education is not only the right of some people, but is a bridge for all young people to achieve a better future.

His journey continued when Restu began to combine two things that his soul called: education and sustainability. He saw that behind the challenges of the climate crisis and economic limitations, there are great opportunities to build a new future through green jobs, jobs that not only support economic growth, but also protect the earth. From this was born the Young Innovation movement, which is a forum for young people to learn, collaborate, and create real impacts in the social and environmental fields.

In the last four years, Young Innovation has developed various educational and collaborative initiatives that reach more than 61,000 beneficiaries throughout Indonesia. Through training activities, educational campaigns, and strategic partnerships with the government, the private sector, as well as the local community, this movement has grounded the concept of sustainability to grassroots. Currently, more than 520 community members in 30 regions have also become part of the #SustainableInnovator movement initiated by Young Innovation.

For me, education and sustainability are two sides of the same coin. If we want to build a green future, we have to start by building people who are aware, skilled, and empowered. Through the green jobs ecosystem, young people can find a way to work while protecting the earth. This award is not only a recognition of my personal work, but also the collective work of all young people who have struggled to create change," said Restu, in a written statement, Friday, November 7.

Cazadira Fediva Tamzil, Executive Director of the Pijar Foundation, also gave appreciation to the award recipients this year.

"Our hope is that policies and programs in Indonesia will not only involve youth at the end, but also at the beginning, middle and end, as well as the evaluation process. We are all proud of Mujar30's friends and all communities in Indonesia," he said.

The Muda30 award is a forum to appreciate the works and innovations of young Indonesians across sectors that contribute to sustainable development. Through this event, the younger generation is encouraged to strengthen collaboration and accelerate the transformation towards a green economy, where the creation and expansion of green jobs is the key to the future of the world of work.

This achievement emphasizes the stronger role of young Indonesians in building a sustainability ecosystem. Through education, innovation, and real action in various regions, the potential for green jobs continues to grow and opens opportunities for wider social, economic, and environmental impacts. The spirit of collaboration and awareness of the importance of green jobs will determine the direction of Indonesia's future, which is green, fair, and globally competitive.
