Billy Mambrasar Trains 1,000 Papuan Children To Learn AI According To President Prabowo's Asta Cita

JAKARTA Member of the Executive Committee for the Acceleration of Papua Special Autonomy Development (KEPP Otsus Papua) Billy Mambrasar launched an Artificial Intelligence (AI) training program for 1,000 young Papuans, in collaboration with the KORERI community and the Grassberg Academy.

The program will start in January 2026 and be held for a full year.

This initiative is claimed to be the largest AI training in Eastern Indonesia, even breaking national records.

All activities are held through a creative financing scheme without APBN funds, as evidence of innovative and sustainable cross-sector collaboration.

"This program does not replace formal education, but rather complements it. We want to instill confidence that Papuan children can also be part of the future of world technology," said Billy.

Participants who graduate will obtain certification and be channeled to the world of work through the Papua Talenta Management (Mantap) platform which connects local talents with national and global private partners.

This program is a concrete step in realizing President Prabowo Subianto's 4th Asta Cita, which emphasizes improving the quality of superior human resources, while strengthening Papua's position in national digital transformation.
