Mukomuko's Economy Is Reviving, All Palm Oil Mills Are Back In Operation

JAKARTA - All palm oil mills in Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, today are back in operation to process crude palm oil after it was closed during the Idul Fitri 1442 Hijri holiday.

"Today all palm oil mills are back in operation and buying fresh palm fruit bunches belonging to farmers in this area," said Head of Partnership and Plantation Licensing of the Mukomuko Regency Agriculture Office, Sudianto, in his statement in Mukomuko, reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 18.

He said this after coordinating with all palm oil mills in this area regarding the factory's operations in processing crude palm oil.

He said five of the nine palm oil mills in this area were operational starting Monday, May 17, then the other four mills Tuesday, May 18.

He said five of the nine palm oil factories in this area were operating to process coconut crude starting Monday (17/5), namely PT DDP in the Ipuh area and PT DDP in the Lubuk Bento village area, PT Sapta, PT KAS and PT SSS, while four factories were operational starting Tuesday, May 18, namely PT SAP, PT BMK, PT KSM, PT MMIL, and PT GSS.

With regard to the purchase price of palm fresh fruit bunches by all palm oil mills in this area since the last few days it has fallen compared to the previous price.

He said the PT SSJA mill bought smallholders' palm oil FFB at a price of Rp1,930 per kg, lower than the previous price of Rp1,970 per kg. The PT USM mill purchases palm oil FFB owned by local farmers at a price of IDR 2,100 per kg, a decrease compared to the previous price of IDR 2,130 per kg.

The purchase price for palm oil FFB by most of the palm oil mills in this area, namely PT KSM is Rp. 1,960 per kg, PT MMIL is Rp. 1,960, PT SSS is Rp. 1,940, PT DDP is Rp. IDR 2,020, and PT GSS IDR 2,010, while the selling price of PT SAP's fresh oil palm fruit bunches is IDR 1,990.
