JAKARTA - The construction of the Bima City Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) officially topping off or closing the roof structure on Thursday, October 2.
The toping off marks the completion of the building's main structure and paves the way for accelerating architectural and mechanical, electrical and depletion (MEP) work.
Until the first week of October 2025, the physical progress of the Bima City Hospital construction had reached 47.87 percent, 6 percent faster than the planned schedule.
The construction stages have been completed since the groundbreaking on May 28, 2025, covering the lower structure, upper structure as well as some infrastructure work and part architecture and MEP.
EVP Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim emphasized the company's commitment to project completion with quality results.
"We ensure that every stage of development is carried out with appropriate and timely quality standards, for the realization of modern health facilities that can immediately serve the people of Bima City and its surroundings," said Adjib in a written statement, quoted Thursday, October 9.
The project by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) is arguably quite eagerly awaited by the community.
The reason is, the construction of the hospital is part of a hospital class improvement program from Type D to Type C to support cancer, heart disease, stroke and Urology (KJSU) services.
Thus, people no longer have to travel more than seven hours to the provincial hospital to get this service.
As planned since the groundbreaking, the Kota Bima Hospital will provide more than 20 types of modern health services, including Emergency Installation (IGD), specialist polyclinics, radiology, operating room with the Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) as well as intensive care facilities such as the ICU, NICU and HCU.
The hospital is also equipped with supporting services, such as pharmaceuticals, medical rehabilitation and cytoxic.
With a capacity of 100 beds, the Bima City Hospital has met WHO standards that set the need for 1 bed per 1,000 residents.
