National Internship Program Ready To Launch, Target 20,000 Participants

JAKARTA - The government will launch a special internship program for new graduates who have passed a maximum of one year before October 15, 2025.

In this program, the interns will receive a salary equivalent to the Regional Minimum Wage (UMR) which is borne directly by the government, according to their respective placement locations.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said this program had been discussed directly with President Prabowo Subianto.

The registration of the internship program will open from October 15, 2025, through a digital platform that has been prepared, with applicable terms and requirements.

"In the Internship program, we have seen the ready-to-work program prepared, and we have seen the ready-to-work program, then discussed the technical details, and this program is expected to be launched on October 15, 2025," he told the media crew at his office, Tuesday, September 30.

Airlangga added that the government has also socialized to various companies related to the implementation of this program.

The companies are required to convey the needs of the workforce, including the number of vacancies and the criteria for the candidates needed.

"From now on until October 15, socialization with companies, where companies are expected to list their demands, each company, how many jobs are open, and then on October 15, graduates can start accessing ready-to-work pages for one year, then they can register," he said.

He added that graduate data is already available in the system through the data base of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology.

This will facilitate the verification process for registered participants, especially to ensure that they really graduated in the last year.

"So the graduates already exist, so later those who register, if they pass, indeed in one year there is already a database there," he said.

In the early stages, the government targets as many as 20,000 participants to be spread across various parts of Indonesia.

Berikut syarat magang untuk fresh graduate 2025 yang harus dipenuhi calon peserta:

1. Lulusan S1 atau D3 dari perguruan tinggi di Indonesia

2. Termasuk kategori fresh graduate, dengan batas maksimal satu tahun sejak kelulusan

3. Siap mengikuti program magang selama 6 bulan penuh sesuai penempatan

4. Bersedia ditempatkan di perusahaan swasta maupun BUMN yang bekerja sama dengan pemerintah

The following are the internship requirements for fresh graduates 2025 which must be met by prospective participants:

1. Graduates from S1 or D3 from universities in Indonesia

2. Include in the fresh graduate category, with a maximum limit of one year since graduation

3. Ready to take part in the internship program for a full 6 months according to placement
