JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) continues to show its commitment to strengthening the people's economy through empowering MSMEs.

KAI Executive Vice President of Corporate Secretary Raden Agus Dwinanto Budiadji explained that Nearly 200 assisted MSMEs are now facilitated to obtain halal certification, BPOM, and Intellectual Property Rights (HKI) through MSME Certification Kick Off activities

He conveyed that this activity was KAI's strategic step in supporting MSMEs to have passports towards modern markets, national retail, and export opportunities.

"With official certification, MSMEs are expected to be more resilient, competitive, and ready to penetrate the international market as world-class MSMEs," he said in his statement, Sunday, September 21.

Agus explained that in the modern trade era, certification has a vital role, namely halal certificates to increase consumer confidence, BPOM distribution permits to ensure product quality and safety, while HKI protection maintains MSME works so that they have high economic value and are sustainable.

Furthermore, Agus emphasized that this certification facility is an important part of TJSL and CSR KAI's long-term strategy.

"Halal certification, BPOM, and HKI are not just administrative requirements, but future gates. With strong legality, strong branding, and digital innovation, KAI's fostered MSMEs are ready to be part of the global economic chain and move towards world-class MSMEs," he explained.

Agus also emphasized the importance of synergy to strengthen the role of MSMEs as pillars of the national economy.

"KAI believes that MSMEs are the backbone of the Indonesian economy. Through certification, mentoring, and innovation, KAI is committed to producing MSMEs that are not only competitive in the country, but also able to compete in the global market. This is part of KAI's journey to bring real benefits to society," he said.
