JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has approved the Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) to regulate the obligation to limit or terminate customer Fund Account (RDN) services on holidays.

Then, transferring or withdrawing funds from RDN can only be made to an account in the name of the same customer or other accounts that have been registered previously (white list).

"Similar policies are also applied to RDN management banks, as part of efforts to strengthen investor protection and prevent potential account abuse," said OJK Capital Market Supervisory Chief Executive, Derivative Finance and Carbon Exchange Inarno Djajadi in an official statement, in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Thursday, September 18.

Inarno said that OJK and SRO are currently still conducting searches and investigations related to the issue of the burglary of RDN belonging to corporate customers.

"In order to protect investors and maintain capital market integrity, OJK and SRO have and will continue to take the necessary mitigation steps," said Inarno.

OJK ensures that it will continue to monitor developments, and if necessary prepare additional steps to ensure investor safety and trust are maintained.
