Attending A Meeting At The Office Of The Coordinating Ministry For Food, Joao Angelo Cancels Resignation From The President Director Of Agrinas?

JAKARTA - Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota who declared his resignation as President Director of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara is still on duty today. He attended a coordination meeting to accelerate the development of food, energy and water self-sufficiency areas at the Coordinating Ministry for Food.

Joao Angelo himself has submitted his resignation on Monday, August 11. It's been more than 30 days, it turns out that Joao is still in that position.

When asked about his resignation some time ago, Joao said he was still waiting for the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) which will be held in the middle of this month.

"I'm waiting for the GMS. Maybe later on September 20," he said when met at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Office, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 16.

Furthermore, Joao said, he was waiting for PT Danantara Asset Management (DAM)'s decision regarding his resignation.

"Not yet (officially his resignation)," said Joao.

Previously, it was reported that Joao Angelo officially resigned from the position of President Director of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara. The resignation coincided with 6 months of him leading the food SOE.

The resignation has been officially submitted to the management of Agrinas Pangan Nusantata. Furthermore, the letter will be submitted to the Anagata Nusantara Resources Investment Management Agency (Danantara).

"I am the President Director of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara to convey that today, August 11, 2025, we will continue our resignation which was handed over to Danantara this afternoon," said Joao Mota at a press conference, in Jakarta, Monday, August 11.

Joao also apologized, because for 6 months serving as President Director of Agrinas Pangan has not been able to contribute to the national economy or contribute to realizing the welfare of the community and farmers who are the goals of Agrinas.

"Therefore, we deeply regret it, we apologize to all citizens, especially farmers, to the state and the president who have shown us to carry out this position," he said.

"So allow me, submit my resignation and allow me to apologize," continued Joao.

For your information, Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota was officially appointed as President Director of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara as of February 10, 2025 through the Decree of the Ministry of SOEs No. 32/MBU/02/2025.
