JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) will build a Surabaya Regional Railway Line (SRRL) project. This Urban Railway Project will connect Surabaya and Sidoarjo with a track length of about 20 kilometers (Km).
Director of Traffic and Transportation, Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation, Arif Anwar, explained that this project will take advantage of existing railway lines, aka existing.

The SRRL Phase 1 project includes the construction of double-tracking and electrification for the 20-km corridor between Gubeng and Sidoarjo. This project is expected to serve more than 200,000 passengers every day when it is operational.
