Government Launches Economic Stimulus, Targets Ojol To Require MSME Taxes

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto accompanied by Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive announced the economic stimulus channeled through 17 package programs.

This was conveyed by Airlanggar Hartarto and Purbaya Yudhi Sadivewa at a press conference at the State Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, September 15.

The details of the program are as follows:

8 program acceleration programs in 2025, namely:

1. College graduate internship program (maximum fresh graduate 1 year).

2. Expansion of PPh 21 DTP for sector workers related to tourism.

3. Food assistance for the period October-November 2025.

4. Work Accident Insurance Contribution Assistance (JKK) and Death Security (JKM) for Non-Wage Recipients (BPU) online/ojol transportation (including base motorcycle taxis, drivers, couriers, and logistics) for 6 months.

5. BPJS Employment Housing Additional Service Benefit Program (MLT).

6. The Ministry of Transportation's Cash Labor Intensive Program (cash for work) and the Ministry of Public Works.

7. Accelerate PP28 Deregulation (Integration of Digital K/L and RD TR Systems to OSS).

8. Urban Program (Pilot Project DKI Jakarta): improving the quality of settlements and providing places for Gig Economy.

4 Programs continued in the 2026 program, including:

1. Extension of the term of use of the Final PPh 0.5 percent for MSME Taxpayers in 2029 and Adjustments for Final PPh Recipients 0.5 percent for MSME Taxpayers.

2. Extension of PPh 21 DTP for tourism-related sector workers (APBN 2026).

3. PPh Article 21 DTP for workers in the labor-intensive industrial sector (APBN 2026).

4. JKK and JKM contribution discounts for all non-wage recipients (BPU).

5 labor absorption programs, including:

1. The operation of the Merah Putih Village/Sub-District Cooperative is expected to absorb more than 1 million workers per December.

2. Red and White Fishermen's Village is targeted for long-term creation of 200,000 jobs.

3. Revitalization of the 20,000 hectare pantura pond is expected to absorb 168,000 workers.

4. Modernization of 1,000 fishing boats is expected to create 20.000 jobs.

5. People's plantations with 870,000 hectares of replanting by the Ministry of Agriculture are expected to open 1.6 million jobs in 2 years.
