KM 25 Bitung Tangerang Toll Access Progress Reaches 80 Percent

TANGERANG - Construction of toll access at Km 25 Bitung, the Jakarta-Merak section by housing developers has reached 80 percent with a target of completion in December 2025 and continued with a function-worthy test (ULF) and a feasible test operation (ULO).

"The progress of the Km 25 toll road access construction until August was 80 percent and we have reported it to related parties starting from Jasa Marga, the Ministry of Transportation and others. Now, we are entering the remaining completion stage," said Executive Director of Planning & Design Paramount Land Henry Napitupulu as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, September 13.

Henry said a number of work that had been completed included the construction of the northern Bulevard road, Bitung 3 toll gate access, bridge structure, flyover, ramp on/off and the main concrete layer of toll roads.

"We are optimistic that the remaining three months from September to December, the work can be completed. After that, we will enter a fit test by many parties from the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Public Works, Jasa Marga and the police," he said.

Executive Director of Project Management Paramount Land Cok Putra Tri Utama added, since the beginning of construction in July 2024, the construction of this toll road access is not only for residential areas but also reducing vehicle density on Arterial Bitung Road by 15 percent.

"For certainty when the operation will be, we hope that in the first semester of 2026 it will be possible because the provisions are given by the authorities, namely the government and the police," he said.

Based on Jasa Marga data, the number of vehicles leaving through the Bitung I Toll Gate is 19,000 vehicles and Bitung Toll Gate 20,000 vehicles per day. The presence of direct toll access Km 25 Jakarta-Merak will be able to reduce the burden on the Arterial Bitung Road by 10-15 percent.

Curug Sub-district Head Arif Rachman Hakim added that the existence of direct toll accesses for Km 25 Jakarta-Merak not only had an impact on smooth traffic, but also had a domino effect on the local economic sector.

"Now it is easier for Curug residents and their surroundings to access economic activity centers. This encourages the growth of small businesses and facilitates the distribution of goods and services," said Arif.

Pengamat Perkotaan Yayat Supriatna mengatakan koridor barat Jakarta adalah Jakarta masa depan yang memiliki prospek investasi tinggi, aksesibilitas mudah, dan lingkungan yang masih bersih dan nyaman.

"Dalam konteks investasi, koridor barat memiliki berbagai keunggulan. Di samping harga rumah yang relatif terjangkau, nilai investasi yang terus meningkat," katanya.

Urban Observer Yayat Supriatna said the west corridor of Jakarta is a future Jakarta that has high investment prospects, easy accessibility, and a clean and comfortable environment.

"In the context of investment, the western corridor has various advantages. In addition to relatively affordable housing prices, the investment value continues to increase," he said.
