Highlighting Subsidized Fertilizer Distribution, BAKN: Not Optimal And Right On Target

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the State Civil Service Agency (BAKN) of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Herman Khaeron, highlighted the distribution of subsidized fertilizers.

Herman said the distribution had not been carried out optimally. This is because there are still many farmers who claim that they have not received subsidized fertilizer.

To overcome this problem, BAKN held a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of SOEs, Danantara Indonesia and PT Pupuk Indonesia.

"This is still a lot of problems. For example, we often hear farmers who lack subsidized fertilizer," he said after a meeting at the DPR building, Jakarta, Thursday, September 11.

Herman said that the distribution of subsidized fertilizers had not been carried out on target. This is because there are electronic findings of the definitive plan for the need for farmer groups (e-RDKK) is no longer on target.

"This is what then there are some findings. RDKK is no longer in accordance with the updating of the target right," he said.

Reflecting on the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), continued Herman, his party wanted to provide the best recommendations.

Especially related to the distribution system, the cost of production in fertilizers, and fertilizer factories.

"So that what? So that if the production cost is more efficient, the cost of existing or the amount of subsidies can be increased. Or if the fertilizer is still at 9.55 million, then we will reduce the subsidy funds," he said.

Therefore, said Herman, in today's meeting, BAKN has given assignments to each ministry and institution, in this case the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of SOEs, Ministry of Finance, to Danantara.

Danantara juga harus mendorong. Kementerian Keuangan tentu harus membuat skema. Scheme subsidi itu selain tentu mensubsidi secara langsung terhadap harga supaya lebih rendah dan diterima oleh para penerima prokemuk bersubsidi. Tetapi pada sisi lain juga investasinya untuk pabrik manbu jalan. Sehingga ke depannya kalau pabrik fertilnya baru akan lebih efisien, ujarnya.

Menurut Herman, semua pihak memiliki komitmen yang sama untuk merevitalisasi program pupuk bersubsidi dan membuat tata kelola baru.

“Ini adalah semata-mata untuk sama-sama menunjang menuju programnya Pak Prabowo Subianto untuk menuju kepada kedaulatan dan kemandirian pangan,” ucapnya.

According to Herman, all parties have the same commitment to revitalize the subsidized fertilizer program and create new governance.

"This is solely to jointly support Pak Prabowo Subianto's program to lead to sovereignty and food independence," he said.
