Long Weekend, Pertamina Guarantees Energy Supply In Central Java-DIY

JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java (JBT) guarantees that energy supply in Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) is safe ahead of the long holiday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW 5-7 September 2025.

"The momentum for long holidays is usually followed by an increase in energy consumption. Pertamina has alerted all distribution facilities to ensure that energy services remain safe and smooth for the community," said Area Manager Comm, Rel, & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBT Taufiq Kurniawan in his statement in Yogyakarta, Friday.

According to him, a special task force is also prepared to monitor and oversee energy distribution during this period.

This readiness, he said, was not only carried out at the terminal level as a stock and distribution center, but also directly touched community service points.

All gas stations and Pertashop have been confirmed to operate normally with strict supervision of the availability of fuel.

According to him, there are 8 supply points of fuel, 4 LPG terminals, and 5 supply points of avtur spread throughout Central Java and DIY which continue to operate, including on holidays.

Taufiq said Pertamina maintains gasoline fuel stocks 13 times, while Gasoil reaches 14 times the average daily normal consumption.

As for aviation aviation aviation needs, Pertamina has prepared a supply of avtur 21 times normal consumption, namely 349 kiloliters (KL).

In anticipating an increase in subsidized 3 kg LPG needs, continued Taufiq, Pertamina Patra Niaga allocated additional supplies based on coordination and requests from the local government.

"Overall, 3 kg LPG was added with a total of more than 1,219,880 tubes. This amount is 79 percent more than normal daily consumption," he explained.

He said the addition of 3 kg LPG cylinders was divided into 1,066,729 tubes in Central Java Province, while in DIY Province there were 153,160 tubes.

The addition will be distributed through Pertamina's official LPG bases and adjusted to the needs in each region.

Taufiq asked the public not to worry about energy supply and buying fuel at gas stations or Pertashops, as well as LPG at official bases.

"That way, product quality and security are more secure, as well as helping prevent sales practices outside the provisions. Various attractive promos to help consumers buy cheaper prices are also available on the MyPertamina application during this long holiday period," he said.
