JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI distributed financing facilities or a commercial line worth IDR 5 trillion to PT Guarantee Kredit Indonesia (Persero) (Jamkrindo).
Director of Treasury & International BNI Abu Santosa Sudradjat explained, this facility is intended to strengthen Jamkrindo's guarantee capacity, especially for Bank Guarantee Counterproducts, in order to expand access to financing for Micro, Small, Medium, and Cooperative Enterprises (MSMEs-K) as well as national strategic projects.
He also emphasized that the provision of this large facility is a tangible form of the commitment of the two SOEs in contributing actively to spur the Indonesian economy.
"The provision of Commercial Line facilities with a limit of IDR 5 trillion is a tangible manifestation of BNI and Jamkrindo's commitment to actively contribute to the Indonesian economy," said Abu Santosa in a written statement, Friday, August 29.
Abu explained, the commercial line is basically a financing facility provided by BNI to Jamkrindo.
With this financing ceiling, Jamkrindo will have greater ability to issue guarantees for debtors who need it, especially from the MSME-K segment and implementing strategic government projects.
"We hope this cooperation can strengthen the synergy between BNI and Jamkrindo as well as provide direct benefits for MSMEs, corporations, and other sectors that require guarantee facilities," explained Abu.
