Bulog Collaborates With The Red And White Kopdes To Strengthen Food Distribution

Perum Bulog cooperates with the Red and White Village Cooperatives (Kopdes) to strengthen food distribution to remote areas of the country in order to maintain national food sovereignty and ensure price affordability for all levels of society.

"This synergy is not just a logistical cooperation, but part of the populist economic movement that places cooperatives at the forefront of national food distribution," said Bulog Business Director Febby Novita as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 25.

Febby said that the strategic partnership with the Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDKMP) in various regions is a real commitment in the spirit of building Indonesia from the outskirts and strengthening national food security.

He said, one concrete example of the synergy occurred in Tarakan, North Kalimantan, where Bulog Tarakan Branch actively supports the Tarakan Branch of the KDKMP Selumit in ensuring distribution of rice and other staple foods to communities in coastal and border areas.

The collaboration emphasized that food security is not only the government's job, but a collective movement that involves people's strength through cooperatives, said Febby.

"We at Perum Bulog really understand the importance of equitable food access, especially in 3TP areas, behind, frontier, outermost, and border. Together with KDKMP, we built a populist, efficient, and reaching the door of a resident's house," he said.

According to him, local cooperatives have a strategic role as a node for distribution and strengthening the people's economy, as well as an important partner in maintaining food price stability.

Bulog not only distributes food stocks, but also supports strengthening cooperative institutions through training, assistance, and a transparent and targeted distribution system.

For example in Tarakan, continued Febby, the collaboration between Bulog and KDKMP Selumit has succeeded in facilitating the distribution of Rice Stabilization of Supply and Food Prices (SPHP) directly to the public at affordable prices, without a long distribution chain that burdens consumers.

"This is a collaborative model that we want to replicate throughout Indonesia," he said.

He emphasized that in the context of food security, the synergy between Bulog and cooperatives is not just a matter of logistics but part of defending the country in a real sense, namely keeping the people's stomach full, stable, and prosperous.

"We want to show that this collaboration is a tangible form of economic nationalism. When Bulog and cooperatives unite, we not only distribute rice, we are safeguarding the nation's food sovereignty," said Febby, asserting.

From Sabang to Merauke, Bulog together with KDKMP continue to expand the reach of food distribution. With an integrated warehouse network and logistics fleet, the food SOE ensures that no area in Indonesia is left behind in food affairs.

"Through concrete steps such as in Tarakan, Bulog proves that the collaboration between food SOEs and community cooperatives is able to answer the challenges of food distribution in the modern era, as well as strengthen the local economy," he said.

Bulog juga mendukung kehadiran KDKMP sebagai program prioritas nasional dari Pemerintah.

Sesuai Inpres 9 Tahun 2025, KDKMP memiliki semangat membangun kekuatan ekonomi dari tingkat desa/kelurahan melalui sistem gotong royong dengan memastikan ketersediaan dan pangan dan kebutuhan pokok masyarakat desa/kelurahan.

Hingga saat ini, sebanyak 474 KDKMP telah dilakukan tap in sebagai Rumah Pangan Kita (RPK) oleh Bulog dan memiliki omzet penjualan lebih dari Rp4,7 miliar.

RPK merupakan outlet milik masyarakat yang dibina oleh Bulog dan dapat mendistribusikan berbagai macam komoditi yang dimiliki Bulog.

Bulog also supports the presence of KDKMP as a national priority program from the Government.

In accordance with Presidential Instruction 9 of 2025, KDKMP has the spirit of building economic strength from the village/kelurahan level through a mutual cooperation system by ensuring the availability and food and basic needs of the village/kelurahan community.

Hingga saat ini, sebanyak 474 KDKMP telah dilakukan tap in sebagai Rumah Pangan Kita (RPK) oleh Bulog dan memiliki turnover penjualan lebih dari Rp4,7 miliar.

The RPK is a community-owned outlet fostered by Bulog and can distribute various commodities owned by Bulog.
