Ministry Of Manpower And Ministry Of PKP Sign MoU For Distribution Of 50,000 Subsidized Houses To Workers

The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) and the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) signed a memorandum of understanding or Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the distribution of 50,000 houses to workers.

Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait said earlier in May, the Ministry of PKP and the Ministry of Manpower had agreed to distribute subsidized houses to 20,000 workers.

He added that the People's Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera) had also proposed an additional quota of subsidized houses for workers and was immediately approved.

"And earlier the Tapera Commissioner, Mr. Heru asked for an additional quota, and I asked the Minister (Menaker), the Minister proposed an additional 20,000 to 50,000 and I immediately agreed," said Ara to the media crew at the Ministry of Manpower Office, Thursday, August 14.

With the high interest of the community, the realization of subsidized housing for workers has touched 36,629 houses. According to him, with this increase in realization, Ara said that this subsidized housing is in demand by many workers. This is also in line with President Prabowo's decision to increase the quota of subsidized houses from the previous 220,000 to 350,000 houses.

"This means that President Prabowo's policy through the Minister of Finance, VAT borne by the government of Rp. 2 billion and below is true," he continued.

On the same occasion, Ara also thanked the Minister of Manpower who carried out massive housing socialization to workers

"This means that this program is very attractive to the workforce," he added.

Menteri Ketenagakerjaan, Yassierli mengatakan, penambahan kuota rumah ini akan turut berdampak pada penyerapan tenaga kerja.

Menurutnya, dengan adanya rumah subsidi ini, pemerintah tidak hanya memberikan solusi terkait kesejahteraan buruh, tapi juga penciptaan lapangan kerja.

"Dan ini tentu menjadi suatu hal yang menggembirakan bagi kami di Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan," tandas dia.

The Minister of Manpower, Yassierli said, the addition of this house quota will also have an impact on employment.

According to him, with this subsidized house, the government not only provides solutions related to the welfare of workers, but also job creation.

"And this is certainly an encouraging thing for us at the Ministry of Manpower," he said.
