Head Of Authority Collaborates With AGO To Secure IKN Project From Corruption Practices

The Capital Archipelago Authority (IKN) officially cooperates with the Indonesian Attorney General's Office to ensure that IKN development runs with high integrity and is free from the practice of misuse of the budget, aka corruption.

Through a preliminary meeting (entry meeting) and the signing of an integrity pact, the collaboration was confirmed as a joint commitment to oversee all strategic projects.

OIKN Chief Basuki Hadimuljono expressed his appreciation for the full support from the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) at the AGO.

According to Basuki, the collaboration is very crucial, considering that the IKN development is supported by three main sources of financing, namely the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN), the Government and Business Entity Cooperation (KPBU) scheme and private direct investment.

"This is what we have to protect, lest anyone harm or injure this big process," Basuki said as quoted from the official IKN website, Friday, August 8.

He emphasized that strategic projects in IKN, such as the arrangement of the Sepaku Area and sports areas are not limited to physical development.

These projects also have a social and economic dimension that is very important to encourage community growth and welfare.

"Therefore, security and strong intelligence escort are needed," he said.

As a tangible form of the cooperation, the signing of the integrity pact between the IKN Authority Contract Signing Officer Roni Rosaji and the implementing party for the construction of the Director of PT PP URBAN Fuad Prabowo.

The signing was witnessed by Basuki Hadimuljono and Director IV of Jamintel Kejagung Setiawan Budi Cahyono.

Setiawan emphasized that the success of the escort was very dependent on the disclosure of information from all parties.

"We really hope for cooperation from all stakeholders to be able to provide complete and widest possible information," he said.
