JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) has accelerated the development of GasKita in the Sleman area, Yogyakarta. The development of jargas in the Sleman area is targeting the household, small and commercial sectors.

PTH Director of Infrastructure and Technology of PGN Rosa Permata Sari said, to distribute natural gas to these sectors, PGN uses the beyond pipeline mode, in this case CNG and builds infrastructure in the form of a Pressure Regulatory Station (PRS) which is connected to a distribution pipeline network of approximately 100 km. All of these infrastructures built can serve up to 12,900 customers.

"We are committed to building jargas to continue, not only in Sleman, but throughout Yogyakarta. Moreover, Yogyakarta is a major tourist destination, culinary businesses are also growing rapidly, thus becoming a great opportunity for PGN to develop gas lines in the business sector. Rosa emphasized that PGN and all partners involved in the development of gas lines always apply aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE).
