JAKARTA - Minister of Villages and Residential Development (Mendes PDT) Yandri Susanto said that village funds that can be used as loan guarantees for the Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopdes) are limited to only 30 percent.
"The existing village funds are a maximum of 30 percent guarantee," he said when met at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Office, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 29.
For example, Yandri continued, the village fund is Rp. 500 million, so the maximum covered by village fund guarantees for the Red and White Kopdes loan is only Rp. 150 million.
"The bigger (village funds), of course, the bigger (use of guarantees for sharpening), then it was agreed that it also guaranteed not at once," he said.
Yandri said the provisions would later be regulated in the Mendes PDT Regulation which is planned to be issued at the end of August and will refer to Article 1 paragraph 5 of the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 49 of 2025.
In the regulation, Yandri continued, it will later contain obligations, procedures, and the flow of decisions at the Red and White Kopdes.
"In the near future, maybe (Permen PDT is published). I want it to be finished by the end of August," he said.
Yandri said the draft rules had already been compiled, but his party would still explain in more detail the contents of the Permendes in a coordination meeting that would be held in the near future.
He also said that his party needed supervision with law enforcement officials so that the regulation was in line with all existing regulations.
"So that this Permen is really a mutual agreement and there is no gap that might become a problem in the future," he explained.
