There Are Still 11 Oil And Gas Projects That Have Not Been On Stream In 2025

JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) revealed that there are still 11 oil and gas projects that have not been streamed in 2025. In fact, throughout 2025 there are 15 projects planned to be on stream this year

Just so you know, the capital expenditure budget from the planned 15 onstream projects reached 832 million US dollars.

"We are targeting to be on-stream in 2025, thank God, as of today four have been on-stream. So these friends are still struggling to get the rest, the 11 can be on-stream before the end of 2025," said Head of the SKK Migas Communication and Program Division Hudi D. Suryodipuro, Friday, July 25.

The four projects that have been onstream include the Central Letang Rawa Expansion project run by Medco E&P Grissik Ltd on March 14, 2025. The total potential for this project reaches 70 MMSCFD, while the production plan reaches 70 MMSCFD.

Second, the Balam GS Upgrade project which was already online on May 16, 2025. This project was operated by PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan with a project capacity plan of 35,000 BOPD. The production plan reached 31,921 BOPD.

The three Terubuk projects that were onstream on April 24, 2025, were inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto. The project was operated by Medco EP Natuna with a planned project capacity of 6.65d BOPD oil and 60 MMscfd gas. The production plan reaches 6.65d BOPD oil and 60 MMscfd gas.

Finally, the Banyu Urip Infil Classic project, which was already online on June 23, 2025. This project was operated by ExxonMobil Cepu Ltd with a project capacity plan of 9,700 BOPD, and the production plan reached 9,700 BOPD.

Meanwhile, a number of projects that have not been on stream include:

4. OPL LES PT PHE ONWJ Capacity Plan: 130 BOPD, 15.7 MMSCFD Production Plan: 130 BOPD, 15.7 MMSCFDOn-stream: Q4 2025

5. Good Stage-1 Akasia PT Pertamina EP Capacity Plan: 7,250 BOPD, 19 MMSCFD Production Plan: 7,250 BOPD, 19 MMSCFDOn-stream: Q3 2025

6. Subran Compressor Revamping Medco E&P Grissik Ltd. Capacity Plan: 4,878 bcpd, 410 MMSCFD Production Plan: 4,878 bcpd, 400 MMSCFDOn-stream: Q4 2025
