PLN Records 20,053 New Home Charging Customers

PT PLN (Persero) recorded an additional 20,053 customers who had enjoyed HCS services in the first semester of 2025. This number increased by 239 percent compared to the previous period of 8,358 customers.

Just so you know, HCS is a service for the supply and installation of charging devices or home chargers from PLN that allows electric vehicle owners to charge their car batteries at home.

PLN President Director, Darmawan Prasodjo said, through the HCS service, daily charging activities become more comfortable, EV owners do not need to look for Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) so as to provide an easier, more practical, and efficient experience.

Darmawan added, since 2021 a total of more than 51,000 customers have enjoyed PLN's HCS services. Meanwhile, in the first semester of 2025, the total electricity consumption for EV charging reached 57,117 megawatt hours (MWh), an increase of 179 percent when compared to the realization of the same period in 2024 of 31,880 MWh.

"The increasing trend of using electric vehicles makes HCS services very strategic in supporting practical and efficient charging needs in customer homes. We are committed to expanding access and service quality so that more people can feel the ease of switching to electric vehicles," he said, Wednesday, July 23.

Darmawan continued, until now PLN has collaborated with various Singles Agents of Brand Holders (ATPM) from 22 electric car brands in the installation of HCS.

In addition, to make it easier for people to enjoy HCS services, PLN also provides a 50 percent discount on connection costs, both new pairs and additional power through the Home Charging Services 2.0 promo.

For example, for the additional power cost of class 1 fasa from the 1,300 volt ampere (VA) power to 7,700 VA, which was originally Rp6,201,600, has now become Rp3,100,800 after the discount promo. Meanwhile, for the 3rd phase of power 6,600 VA to 16,500 VA from Rp9,593,100, currently, customers only need to pay Rp4,796,550.

Meanwhile, the new installation of class 1 power phases of 7,700 VA from the normal price of Rp7,461,300 to only Rp3,730,650 and 3 power facilities 13,200 VA from Rp12,790,800 with a 50 percent discount promo to Rp6,395,400. Not only that, in addition to discounting the cost of connecting, PLN also provides a tariff discount of 30 percent for charging electric vehicles for consumers at 22:00 - 09:00. All of these promos take place from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
