JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia revealed the reason the government has not granted mining business permits (IUP) to Muhammadiyah religious community organizations (ormas).
Bahlil said that his party was still conducting studies on the mine site before it would be given to mass organizations.
According to him, this needs to be done so that the mining land given to Muhammadiyah is the mining land with the best potential.
"We pushed the Muhammadiyah mine yesterday, but we are reviewing again, right, we have to give a good one, don't let the bad one," Bahlil told the media crew at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Building, Tuesday, July 22.
In fact, the government wants to provide Adaro a mining land for the former Coal Mining Concession Work Agreement (PKP2B) to Muhammadiyah.
However, on its way, continued Bahlil, further studies of the mining land were needed.
"Yesterday we pushed it to ex Adaro. But after checking, the data that has temporarily entered me, seems to still need further investigation, because we want good love," continued Bahlil.
