BSI Supports Optimization Of The Red And White Kopdes Through The Assistance Program

PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) supports the optimization of red and white village/kelurahan cooperatives (KDMP/KKMP) through a mentoring program to ensure cooperatives grow productively and sustainably.

Deputy President Director of BSI Bob T Ananta, said that BSI is ready to support the government's Astacita program to drive the local economy, so that poverty alleviation can start at the village/kelurahan level.

"For this reason, we take a role in terms of strengthening the business capacity of MSMEs, cooperatives and also support for healthy and quality access to financing," said Bob, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, July 22.

The company focuses on several main focuses, namely the preparation of a mock-up pilot project 2 of the Red and White Kopdes in Aceh, organizing Islamic financial literacy, improving management competence, strengthening technology and digitizing and optimizing cooperative businesses as goods agent for BSI.

According to Bob, later this BSI Agent will become one of the main businesses of cooperatives to be able to carry out financial transaction needs for the community, including deposits and cash withdrawals, payments and other daily financial transactions.

BSI Agents will continue to be intensified by the company as a line of business for red and white cooperatives in the Aceh region, which currently amounts to more than 6,000 cooperatives, following developments to other provinces.

Strengthening cooperative institutional capacity is also BSI's main program, especially from improving the competence of KDMP/KKMP administrators, including by carrying out training related to business management such as leadership, business and financial management recorded so that business cashflows are transparent and credible through optimizing the role of BSI MSME Center.

The Company also provides access to financing for cooperatives that already have the ability to manage businesses and have profits.

BSI supports the government's goal of making a strong economy through the institutional structured cooperatives.

In addition, this red and white cooperative is a space for the company to provide Islamic financial literacy and education for rural communities to be able to become financially empowered people and avoid the entanglement of online loans, moneylenders, and chain loans.
