Menkop Budi Arie Asks The Public To Participate In Supervising The Red And White Kopdes

Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie also asked the public to participate in supervising the operation of the Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopdes).

Community involvement is considered important to ensure that the program runs well.

He also encouraged the improvement in the supervision system of the Red and White Kopdes in running its business by adopting digital technology.

"We don't want this program to fail, that's why the involvement of the entire community is needed to move and also supervise the operation of the Merah Putih Village Cooperation," Budi Arie said in an official statement, Monday, July 21.

Budi Arie also targets that in the next 3 to 4 years the presence of the Red and White Kopdes will grow centrally and grow new economic nodes in villages.

Similarly, Deputy Minister of Cooperatives (WamenKop) Ferry Juliantono as the Coordinator of the Chief Executive of the Daily Task Force for the Acceleration of the Establishment of the Red and White Kopdes hopes that the community can immediately feel the benefits of the Kopdes.

He also said the government is targeting that by October 2025 the entire Red and White Kopdes which has been inaugurated today can be fully operational.

There are a total of 80,081 cooperative institutions which were inaugurated directly by President Prabowo Subianto. Of the number, it is said, as many as 108 units are ready to operate starting today.

"This launch is a momentum for the revival of the Cooperatives and momentum for it to ignite again about the Pancasila economic system," he said.

At the operational stage, Ferry emphasized the importance of preparing business models, developing human resources, as well as cooperation between local governments, universities, and various related parties. This strategy is expected to develop according to the target of its formation.

"With these steps, the government hopes that cooperatives can catch up, strengthen assets, and transform into economic forces capable of competing nationally," he said.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto officially launched the institution 80,081 units of the Red and White Kopdes Village Cooperative in Bentangan, Klaten, Central Java.

This inauguration marks that the government's big movement to rebuild the people's economic independence is based on mutual cooperation and kinship as mandated by Article 45 of Article 33.
