JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo revealed that the budget allocation for Presidential Instruction (Inpres) regarding the Acceleration of Regional Road Connectivity Improvement (IJD) in 2025 is IDR 4 trillion.
"This year's total IJD budget may be around IDR 4 trillion," said Dody at a press conference at the PU Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday night, July 18.
The top priority of the IJD is to access roads that support food security. As of July 15, the Ministry of Public Works has received 2,995 proposed regional road projects out of 515 local governments.
These projects are currently being verified and will then be set on a priority list based on economic benefits, food self-sufficiency support and regional connectivity.
He targets that the initial execution of the IJD physical work will begin in the third quarter of 2025.
"The IJD is new, but we are trying to get this community-based infrastructure started as soon as possible, so that the economy in the regions can start to grow," he said.

Dody said more than 80 percent of local governments who came to the Ministry of Public Works submitted requests for regional road construction, ranging from districts, provinces to inter-regional connectivity.
