Prabowo Will Launch 80,000 Red And White Kopdes Next Week

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto will launch 80,000 Red and White Village Cooperatives (Kopdes) next week. The plan, the launch activity center will be held in Klaten, Central Java.

The plan to launch the Red and White Kopdes was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan or Zulhas at a press conference at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs Office, Jakarta, Monday, July 7.

"We are grateful that 80,000 Kopdes and Kelurahan Cooperatives have been formed, the President will launch it, scheduled for July 19. We have decided that the center of activities will be held in Klaten, Central Java, followed by all provinces and districts," said Zulhas.

Currently, continued Zulhas, there are 100 pilot models or national mockups of Kopdes and Kopkel Merah Putih in 38 provinces in Indonesia. Even so, he believes that this number will increase until the end of the year.

"But if we can, each district (mockup) is not perfect, it's okay, because it's perfect later at the end of the year, it will be launched. So the cooperative is at the end of the year, now it's actually launching the formation (Kopdes) but there has been a mockup that has become 100," he explained.

Zulhas said the mockup from the Red and White Kopdes must consist of fertilizer agents, 3 kilograms of LPG (kg), basic food outlets, logistics transport trucks, to village clinics/poteks.

According to Zulhas, the existence of this logistics truck is important. Later, tricks will make it easier for the village community to transport unhulled rice and corn to be deposited with Perum Bulog. Also, access to banks that also reach all village communities.

The most important thing is that there will be Mandiri Link, BNI Link, BRI Link, Sharia Banks depending on which, which one, there will be, so that we are closer to cutting retensors and tengkulak. While basic necessities to cut the supply chain are long," he explained.

Not only that, Zulhas also said that the Red and White Kopdes would also cooperate with PT Pos Indonesia to distribute government social assistance (bansos).

"There will be PT Pos and Kopfes in collaboration with all government assistance through the Post to Kopdes. From Kopdes, it will be distributed to the people," he said.
