The visit aims to see firsthand the production process of prefabricated houses and discuss their potential development as a solution to accelerating the provision of people's housing.
Deputy Minister Fahri was accompanied by the Director of Settlement Area Development of the Ministry of PKP, Edward Abdurrahman, and the relevant officials.
The group was received by the Commissioner of the Tatalogam Group, Wulani Wihardjono Rismono together with the Director of PT Tatalogam Lestari Stephanus Koeswandi and the management of PT Tatalogam Lestari and PT Tata Metal Lestari, part of the Tatalogam Group.
On that occasion, in addition to visiting the production facilities for galvalume and galvanis steel coatings as well as rolling forming roofs and light steel profiles, Deputy Minister Fahri Hamzah was also invited to visit the Domus instant house produced by PT Tatalogam Lestari.
"I see that the house prepared by Tatalogam is very suitable for the acceleration program for the development of people's housing," he said on the sidelines of the visit.
On the same occasion, Director of PT Tatalogam Lestari Stephanus Koeswandi expressed his appreciation for the visit made by Deputy Minister Fahri Hamzah
along with his staff.
"We are ready to support the government for the provision of housing in accordance with the technical standards of permanent residential buildings," he said.
According to Stephanus, Tatalogam Group has prefabricated house technology that can be built quickly, affordable, and earthquake resistant.
He emphasized that houses with light steel-based modular systems such as Domus products developed by Tatalogam have great potential to support the national program of providing 3 million houses.
From the visit, he hopes that there will be close collaboration between the government and industry players, including in designing national pilot projects for vertical residential houses from lightweight steel.
"We hope that in the future there will be a housing development pilot project along with joint technical testing between the Ministry of PKP, associations, and the business world. Without accommodative regulation, innovation will not develop optimally," he said.
