Jabodebek LRT Conducts TS 20 Series Trial

JAKARTA - The Jabodebek LRT together with the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) and PT Industri Kereta Api (INKA) will carry out a resistance test for the TS20 series. This trial is part of the preparation for service improvement in July 2025.

This trial will take place from 15 to 22 June 2025, with a travel route between Jati Mulya Station to Dukuh Atas BNI. The trial is carried out at non-busy hours or off peak hour.

The Executive Vice President of the Jabodebek LRT, Mochamad Purnomosidi explained that this resilience test is an important part in ensuring the readiness of the TS 20 series to support the program to increase the number of Jabodebek LRT trips in the future.

We understand the importance of reliability and comfort in public transportation. Therefore, this trial is part of our efforts to ensure that every series that is operated is truly ready and optimal," said Purnomosidi in an official statement, Monday, June 16.

Through this test, continued Purnomosidi, technical performance and durability will be thoroughly assessed as the first step towards better service for the community.

Furthermore, Purnomosidi said that this trial was also an effort by the Jabodebek LRT to provide more efficient services.

"With the addition of a proven series, the Jabodebek LRT targets an increase in travel frequency, shorter waiting times, and maximum comfort, especially during peak hours," he said.

As part of the testing process, the Jabodebek LRT urges users not to climb the TS 20 series which is currently undergoing trials.

"To make it easier for users to recognize the TS 20 series that are being tested, the Jabodebek LRT will provide a dividing line at the train series door as a sign that the series does not serve users during the testing process," he said.

In addition, continued Purnomosidi, there will be a special announcement when the TS 20 series enters the station. Officers will also be present at the station and in the TS 20 series to help direct and inform users.
