JAKARTA - Grab has prepared funds worth US$1 million or around Rp. 16.2 billion to support the implementation of the Free Nutrition Food Program for at least the next year.

"We support the government's Free Nutrition Food program. We started it from September last year and our program is not one off (only once), we make sure it's continuous and a minimum of one year," said Country Managing Director Grab Indonesia Neneng Goenadi quoting Antara.

He said that Grab's Free Nutrition Eating Program covers more than 20 schools with more than 4,000 students.

The implementation of the program, according to him, involved 500 teachers and 20 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives.

The target areas for the Free Nutrition Food Program run by Grab include Gombong, Kulon Progo, Langowan, Tangerang, and South Tangerang.

"We ensure that we curate the merchants around the school. After being curated, we train to ensure that it is in accordance with BGN standards," said Neneng.

In implementing the program, the company uses CCTV to support the monitoring of preparation, recitation, and handover of food packages to ensure that the entire process is in accordance with the standards of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

"With CCTV, we ensure that if there is a rat pest, we can detect it. We put a fake mouse test and it (CCTV) can track the rat. So, this is a real-time monitoring that we are doing from our Command Center," said Neneng.
