JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) revealed that during the first five months of 2025, the Access by KAI application recorded 10,225,431 transactions with access volumes reaching 14,849,994 times.

KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba said that this application has become the choice of the majority of the community, especially in welcoming the long Eid al-Adha holiday and collective leave which will take place on June 5, 2025.

According to him, this application is the dominant channel in the KAI ticket booking process, with a contribution of 71.01 percent of the total bookings compared to other channels such as counters, websites, and E-commerce.

Anne said that this increase in use is in line with KAI's efforts to build a digital ecosystem that is easily accessible, efficient, and adaptive to customer needs.

"We see a very positive trend towards digital services. Access by KAI not only offers practicality, but also speed in responding to the mobility needs of the community, especially during solid moments such as long holidays," Anne said in her statement, Friday, May 6.

Meanwhile, the peak mobility of the Eid al-Adha holiday was recorded on Thursday, June 5, 2025, with 218,473 customers served from a capacity of 168,043 seats, equivalent to 130 percent occupancy.

Anne explained that the occupancy that exceeded the seating capacity was possible through the passenger up and down system at a number of stations along the way.

As of Friday, June 6 at 07.00 WIB, tickets that had been sold for the 5'9 period in June had reached 681,363 tickets or 80 percent of the total 850,937 seats provided by KAI for the holiday moment.
