JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI in collaboration with the Yogyakarta Special Region Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) forum inaugurated 15 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) to support the Free Nutrition Eating Program.
Located in the Breksi Cliff Area, Sambirejo Village, Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region, Tuesday, May 20, this strategic collaboration was started to realize food security as well as equal distribution of the village economy.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said BNI's presence in supporting government priority programs involves a number of parties to be able to achieve goals effectively and efficiently.
"BNI takes an important role in realizing Asta Cita President Prabowo Subianto, one of which is through the Free Nutrition Food and Food Security program, this step is a tangible manifestation of our presence as agents of development as well as innovative banking service providers," Okki said in a press release.
This initiative is in line with Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo Subianto, especially in strengthening human resource development (HR) through providing nutritious food to children, pregnant and lactating women, as well as focusing on developing from villages for economic equality, reducing poverty and increasing community welfare.
Chairman of the BUMDes DIY Forum Raden Agus Choliq said this launching activity was the first synergy carried out with BNI in providing financial literacy assistance and education as well as operational management in the process of supporting the Free Nutrition Food program.
"We synergize with BNI regarding operational and financial support for the business ecosystem of SPPG BUMDes partners and BUM Desa Bersama through BNI digital financial products and services. We thank BNI for its contribution to realizing this program," said Agus.
He added that this activity is also a manifestation of the empowerment of Village BUMs and Village BUMs with LKD in contributing and taking an important role for the Free Nutrition Eating program. BUMDes and BUMs of Joint Villages with LKD who have strong financial strength, take part in the development of SPPG, while for Village BUMs and BUMs, Joint Villages that do not yet have strong financial capabilities, take on the role of SPPG suppliers built by Village SOEs.
"Later, in terms of food supply management, a Cooperative business entity will be formed which will manage the supply conditions so that they run smoothly. Apart from the flow of goods, the flow of money will also be managed properly so that it is transparent and accountable," Agus explained.
