PT PLN (Persero) has successfully operated the South Sumatra 1 Extra High Voltage Airline (SUTET) 275-kilo Volt (kV) of the Betung Extra High Voltage Substation (GITET).
The operation was marked by the provision of initial voltage (energy) by the PLN of the Southern Sumatra Development Main Unit (UIP Sumbagsel) on Thursday, May 15, which became an important milestone in the commissioning stage for the Independent Power Producer (IPP) PLTU South Sumatra 1 project with a capacity of 2 x 300 Mega Watts (MW).
PLN's New Renewable Project and Energy Management Director, Wiluyo Kusdwiharto, added that this project was not only successful from a technical point of view, but also had a positive impact through optimizing national resources.
"This project was successfully implemented by absorbing the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) by more than 90 percent. This shows our commitment not only to provide reliable electricity but also to encourage domestic industries," said Wiluyo, Wednesday, May 21.
Meanwhile, General Manager of PLN UIP Sumbagsel, Zaky Adikta, detailed the construction of the 275 kV SUTET PLTU South Sumatra 1 GITET Betung consists of 210 towers along 80 kilometers (kms) circuit, which crosses five districts or cities in South Sumatra, namely Muara Enim Regency, Pali Regency, Musi Banyuasin Regency, Banyuasin Regency, and Prabumulih City.
