JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto asked the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia to immediately realize the start of the construction of a downstream project or groundbreaking.
In a joint meeting with a number of ministers of the Red and White Cabinet at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Bahlil said the President highlighted the acceleration of downstreaming which has become a priority for the government and asked to immediately start implementing strategic downstream projects.
"Mr. President has planned for a number of project annihilations to be carried out to be implemented," Bahlil said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 20.
Bahlil detailed that the downstream project is expected to start soon, namely nickel to build an electric vehicle battery ecosystem, as well as the development of the DME (dimethyl ether) project for energy substitution.
In addition, President Prabowo also asked for the acceleration of downstreaming which is a priority for the government.
