JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) continues to encourage increased Islamic financial literacy for micro entrepreneurs, especially pre-sesejahtera women, through the Sahabat Ibu Literacy Sharia Finance (SICANTIKS) program.

In implementing this program, OJK cooperates with Account Officer (AO) from PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) as a strategic partner to reach the community at the grassroots community level which is the focus of empowerment.

The SICANTIS program, which was implemented at the OJK Office of South Sumatra Province, Palembang, is a forum for strengthening the capacity of Islamic financial literacy for female MSME assistants. AO PNM, which has been a direct companion to ultra micro entrepreneurs in various remote parts of the country, has also become an active participant in training and discussions that took place during the event.

The President Director of PNM, Arief Mulyadi said that the SICANTIKS program is a gift for us at PNM because it strengthens the role of our AO which has been accompanying more than 21.9 million customers throughout Indonesia. The number of groups we serve reaches more than 910 thousand, and most of them are ultra micro entrepreneurs. We believe that increasing Islamic financial literacy can accelerate their empowerment process," said Arief in Palempang on Saturday, May 17.

Arief also added, until 2025, the outstanding PNM financing has reached Rp45.2 trillion, with 74 percent of Islamic-based portfolios. This shows an alignment between the direction of PNM's business and the spirit of SICANTIS in promoting fair and inclusive sharia values.

Chief Executive of the Behavior Supervisory of Financial, Education and Protection Business Actors of OJK Consumers, Friderica Widyasari Dewi, appreciates PNM's contribution in strengthening public literacy. PNM is one of our main partners in presenting financial education programs that directly touch the community, especially women entrepreneurs who have extraordinary enthusiasm," said Friderica.

Through the active participation of AO PNM in SICANTIS, it is hoped that multiple effects will be realized that not only increase the understanding of Islamic finance at the community level, but also accelerate the growth of pre-sesejahtera women's businesses and reduce the economic gap in a sustainable manner. This collaboration between OJK and PNM is one example of a synergy model in strengthening financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia.
