JAKARTA - The Directorate General (Ditjen) of Spatial Planning of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) said that the government is currently drafting a Government Regulation (PP) on the National Regional Spatial Planning Plan (RTRWN). The PP will accommodate the giant sea wall (GSW) embankment.
Director of Water Spatial Planning of the Directorate General of Spatial Planning of the KKP, Abdi Tunggal Prianto, said that the giant sea embankment will later be grouped into a watersfront city.
"Then regarding the giant sea wall and activities that, if grouped, are waterfront cities, we will prioritize this. We will include this because this is a mandate or priority, yes, from the KKP and also several other ministries, will be included in the program indications," said Abdi at a press conference at the KKP office, Wednesday, May 7.
Abdi explained that there are several areas for the construction of the project, such as DKI Jakarta, Central Java and East Java. Even so, for the master plan and detailed zoning, there will be derivative regulations from the KKP.
"So, we have indications that there will only be a giant sea wall construction in the indications of the program for DKI Jakarta then Central Java, East Java and so on. Well, later there will be other parts of our regulation of detailed zoning. So the detailed marine spatial planning, the master plan will be regulated in the planning section of the area's detailed space, "he explained.
According to Abdi, the PP only regulates indications of programs that can be implemented at the national level, including regulating strategic area spaces, zoning in the sea space for its designation to permitted marine space activities.
He said RTRWN is a reference for national regional spatial planning that can support the acceleration of the implementation of the Marine and Fisheries Blue Economy priority program as well as national strategic programs.
"Later, in the RTRWN regulation that is integrated with the sea space, there is a section in the planning that already has space allocations, indeed the allocation is used for certain purposes, yes," he said.
