The Ministry Of Public Works Targets The Construction Of The Okmin University Building In Papua Mountains Rampung May 2025

The Ministry of Public Works (PU) is completing the construction of the Okmin University Building in Bintang Mountains Regency, Papua Mountains.

Quoted from the upload of the official Instagram account @kementerianpu, Tuesday, April 29, this development is part of a commitment to accelerate the development of new areas resulting from the expansion of Papua Province while improving the quality of human resources (HR).

"According to President @prabowo's Astacita, the Ministry of Public Works continues to be committed to expanding access to quality education to remote areas of the country, including Mountains Papua," wrote the account upload.

The construction of the Okmin Campus itself has reached 81 percent progress and is targeted for completion in May 2025.

It is known, this campus will stand on an area of 7.3 hectares and be equipped with various facilities, such as a faculty building, lecture room, library to the lecturer's official residence.

Later, this Okmin University will become a center for the development of science and character in Papua Mountains.

Based on the official website of Okmin University, the number of students is around 912 people, which are divided into five study programs, namely Anthropology, English Language Education, Agrotechnology, Mathematics and Biology.
