LOMBOK Commemoration of Kartini Day which falls every April 21 is a moment that marks the struggle of women in achieving equality. One of them is in obtaining decent job rights, careers as well as those that can have a real impact, both on themselves, their families and those around them. At least that is what Nuraini managed to realize.

This 38-year-old woman has been a BRI Mantri for 12 years. Starting from being a customer service, Eni, her nickname, then strengthening her heart by becoming a BRI Mantri since 2013.

Previously I had worked as a customer service for 2 years, but I was not satisfied and challenged. On the other hand, I like challenges and meet new people. From there I was then interested in moving to the marketing department for the Micro segment called the BRI Mantri. The mobility is high, so I don't get bored easily and have more fun living it, than just working in the office," explained Eni starting the story.

BRI's Mantri itself is a BRI marketer who serves the community, especially in the micro sector, with a focus on lending, marketing BRI products and empowering customers. Interestingly, along with digital developments, BRI's Mantri also plays a role in encouraging digital literacy and the use of digital financial products, such as AgentBRILink and transactions through QRIS.

Likewise, Eny, who always visits customers, carries out pick-up services, educates QRIS to assist MSME clusters fostered by the Gerabah or Creating Carving industry in his work unit, in Kediri District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara.

Creative Carving itself is an association of BRI customers who work as pottery craftsmen. After being produced, these pottery are usually marketed in Bali.

"Especially in Banyumulek Village, Kediri, West Lombok, almost 90% of the people's main livelihoods are pottery craftsmen. We as BRI's Mantri help with capital, such as facilitating BRI KUR loans and providing assistance," he added.

It didn't stop there, Eny also explained his joy and sorrow as a BRI Mantri. Like that, with the work he does, Eny is always considered like his own family by the customer. It is also easier for him to get information about potential new customers. The grief is when you have to face customers who are in arrears or don't pay credit installments.

Apart from all that, Eny said he was happy because his work could contribute to moving the wheels of the micro economy, such as the MSMEs of pottery in West Lombok. Moreover, Eny also admitted that being a BRI Mantri helped him provide a better life. In addition to making people see her as a empowered woman, Eny also managed to raise the economy of his family as well.

"I also hope that Indonesian women out there do not hesitate to start and step into a career in the field we are interested in. Because, when we really follow it, it turns out that the impact is not only for ourselves, but can also be felt by families to the surrounding community," Eny said.

On a separate occasion, BRI Corporate Secretary Agustya Hendy Bernadi revealed that BRI's mantri has become a symbol of resilience and concern. With the spirit of serving and empowering, they are present among MSME players to provide access to finance, assistance, and provide hope to move the wheels of the economy as well as become inspiration for many MSMEs.

No exception for BRI women's Mantri who are spread throughout the country. With this contribution, we hope that Indonesian women can be more empowered and contribute to encouraging the national economy," concluded Hendy. (ADV)
