JAKARTA - As a concrete step in supporting Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo Subianto, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) agreed to provide protection for employment social security to all workers involved in the National Nutrition Fulfillment program ecosystem or commonly known as Free Nutrition Food (MBG).
The synergy between the two government-formed bodies was officially confirmed by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by the President Director of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Anggoro Eko Cahyo and the Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana, Monday, April 21, at Plaza BPJAMSOSTEK Jakarta.
In addition to aiming to improve the quality of human resources (HR) through fulfilling nutrition for the next generation of the nation, the program is also predicted to be able to absorb millions of workers in Indonesia.
In his statement, Anggoro appreciated and welcomed BGN's strategic steps and expressed its readiness to provide maximum service and protection to all workers.
"We appreciate Mr. Dadan Hindrayana and the team at the National Nutrition Agency for today's initiative, and we are both successful in a very good program, strategic program and we are of course ready to support this program," said Anggoro.
He added that this effort is in line with President Prabowo's orders contained in Presidential Instruction 8/2025, namely poverty alleviation and the elimination of extreme poverty in Indonesia.
"This is a very good form of synergy because there is a lot of work involved in SPPG and all workers must be protected by the state. The form of the state present is that they are protected by employment social security," he added.
On this occasion, Dadan said that currently there are 1,083 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG), with a total of more than 50 thousand workers. According to the BGN roadmap, this number is predicted to continue to grow to 1.2 million workers.

"In the future, collaboration needs to be carried out to increase literacy and comprehensive awareness for all workers involved in the supply chain of the National Nutrition Agency ecosystem, including farmers, breeders, and other related parties," explained Anggoro.
Anggoro believes this synergy is able to accelerate the achievement of the universal coverage of Employment Social Security, because currently from 104.9 million workers who are eligible to become participants, there are still around 61 percent who have not received protection, which is dominated by vulnerable workers.
